Supply of an innovative 3D Vision System for rack packaging

JTEKT and INNODURA have designed an innovative robotic cell for automatic rack packing. JTEKT defined the cell concept and developed the automation and robotics components. INNODURA deployed its INNOROBOT 3D vision software to meet the specific needs of this cell. The INNOPICK module stands out for its ability to relocate rigid and deformable objects, such as racks, PPE trays, desiccant bags and VCI paper sheets. This technology enables 3D object relocation even without CAD files. INNODURA has developed a patented algorithm combining AI+3D capable of precisely segmenting different objects, regardless of their type or configuration. This quantum leap was fully integrated into the project, locating different types of PPE crates or racks, whether loose or arranged. This technology is also capable of locating deformable bags in bulk, thanks to our own Artificial Intelligence models. Last but not least, INNOROBOT is also able to check whether a foil, arranged between the various layers of interlayer, has been correctly deposited or not. The versatility of the ZIVID 3D camera made this project a success.
